A Place for Early Career Researchers

The villa at Wächterstraße 30 was built in 1898 by the paediatric surgeon Dr Robert Hermann Tillmanns as a residence for his family. It is centrally located next to the Federal Administrative Court and within walking distance of Leipzig city centre. The Bibliotheca Albertina, the Geisteswissenschaftliche Zentrum (Humanities centre, GWZ) and the Saxon Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Leipzig are in the immediate vicinity.

The ground floor offers fully equipped rooms that can be used for workshops, symposia and conferences. The offices of the Graduate Academy Leipzig are located in the immediate proximity at Straße des 17. Juni 2.
