Welcome to the Mental Health Awareness Days
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS DAYS 2023 for doctoral researchers and postdocs - Improving your resilience during the early career phases
The Mental Health Awareness Days 2023, which will take place from November 1 to 3, are a joint initiative of Leipzig University, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, yDiv/iDiv and HIGRADE/UFZ. Organised by its graduate academies and occupational health management units, we want to support you as researchers at our universities and research institutions. Our main aim is to inform and sensitise you on how to cope with demanding or stressful situations during your research. Ideally, the presented topics will help you to smoothen stressful situations and even prevent a too heavy mental load.
The event is open to all interested doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from the participating institutions. Supervisors are also welcome.
Registration is not required - simply attend the event you are interested in. Excluded are the on-site workshops on peer coaching and mindfulness.
During the three days, various online offerings (mostly in English) take place, such as relaxation exercises in the morning and a series of short workshops on topics such as resilience, concentration, positive psychology, addiction risk and mindfulness. There will also be information on how to become (or turn to) mental health first responders. Additionally, you will be introduced to the peer coaching method as a tool for mental health relief on-site at the three locations.
