The Board and the Extended Board support the head of the Graduate Academy Leipzig.
Board
The board is composed of:
- the head of the Graduate Academy Leipzig
- two representatives of the deans of the faculties
- one representative from among the spokespersons of the structured doctoral programmes
- two doctoral researchers who are members of the Graduate Academy Leipzig
- one postdoctoral researcher who is a member of the Graduate Academy Leipzig
The board meets at least three times a year.
Tasks
The board is responsible for positioning and developing the Graduate Academy Leipzig in accordance with its goals and tasks. In addition, it is responsible for the following tasks:
- Monitoring the strategic orientation of the Graduate Academy Leipzig
- Decisions on the exclusion and admission of members in cases of doubt
- Decisions on funding offers and funding applications for programmes of the Graduate Academy Leipzig
- Decisions on the awarding of prizes
- Annual reporting to the Extended Board and the Rectorate
- Supporting evaluations of the Graduate Academy Leipzig
- Proposing amendments to the regulations of the Graduate Academy Leipzig
Extended Board
The extended board is composed of the deans of all faculties of Leipzig University. It supports the Graduate Academy Leipzig in its overall development and makes recommendations and statements. The Extended Board meets twice a year. The meetings are chaired by the head of the Graduate Academy Leipzig or his/her deputy.
