Careers in academia: Doctoral researchers and postdocs between uncertainty and prospects
The evening programme will be held in German.
The German academic system is to be reformed – but what might attractive framework conditions look like? How can we succeed in creating transparent and plannable academic career paths? What options do universities have to attract, promote and retain doctoral candidates and postdocs in the long term? And under what conditions do academics want to work and research in the future?
In a fishbowl discussion, we will be joined by the Vice-Rector for Talent Development at Leipzig University, Professor Roger Gläser, the trade union secretary of ver.di, Hedda Hauser, the managing director of German U15 e.V., Dr Jan Wöpking, and Johanna Kuske, the doctoral representative at UniWiND. Dr Mathias Kuhnt from the Network for Good Work in Science will be the moderator. You can join the discussion at any time! Take a seat on the free chair and join the fishbowl discussion.
Childcare is available during the coaching sessions and the evening event.
