The Science Slam at the Doctoral Researchers' Day 2024 took place on 12 November in the Arthur-Hantzsch-Hörsaal of the Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy.

After a very close applause vote, Tom Götze was crowned the winner of the Science Slam with his presentation ‘Verpackt oder Zerhackt - Peptide in der Wirkstoffforschung’. The chemist is conducting research for his dissertation in the Lamers Lab. He received the Golden Megaphone and a one-year subscription to the Leipzig city magazine kreuzer.

The evening was hosted by Jack Pop, known for his infotainment show Circus of Science in the Kupfersaal. He delighted the audience with numerous hands-on activities and live experiments.
